I was taught traditional film photography when I was about 11 - I starting using my Dad's Pentax ME with a 50mm F1.7 lens but never really continued the hobby as a teenager, becoming far more interested in music etc.
It wasn't until my daughters arrived that I got back into photography 22 years ago - firstly with an Olympus C8080 then rapidly upgrading to a canon 400d, then 40d then a brief period using Olympus OM5 before I finally jumped to Nikon. Many years with the superb D750 followed before I treated myself to a mirrorless Z8 which is my current workhorse.
Currently:
Nikon Z8
Nikon Z 14-30 F4
Nikon Z 24-120 F4
Nikon Z 40 F2
Nikon Z 70-180 F2.8
Nikon Z 180-600 F5.6-6.3
Nikon Z TC 1.4
Everything's processed in Adobe bridge/ lightroom/ photoshop
Astro:
Currently using the rather brilliant ZWO Seestar S50 pro - I had a couple of decent astrophotography rigs but they were just far too much hassle and time consuming for me (maybe something to re-consider when I retire)
